The distance between Bagan and Mandalay is about 300 kms, but it takes around 6-7 hours of trip, because the bad state of the roads and the necessity of crossing villages, in which the presence of markets and commercial activity call numerous persons from the surrounding countries. The landscape is varied and sometimes rich on trees especially palms and sometimes cultivation of rice. Along the road men can be observed that pick up the juice of the palms or that they are devoted to other agricultural jobs as the squeezing of the oil of peanuts. From some carved points of the head of the palm, a juice is picked up in terra-cotta containers fixed to the tree and that then is let ferment for drawing the wine of palm.

This part of the trip allows with emotion to see the rural life of the country and to observe the persons that live there.
