Images (Dec. 1999 - Jan. 2000)

Proceeding from Tripoli toward east, not as soon as the coast folds up to south toward Surt, the desert advances up to join with the coast giving life to the natural border that divides the province of the Tripolitania historically from that of the Cyrenaica. In this point in the thirties Years was built by the Italians an arch that included two enormous statues of Fileni brothers, legendary heroes of Carthago that fought with the Greek of Cyrene for the definition of the border between the zones of influence of the two ancient and glorious cities. This arch was demolished in 1973 and the statues of the Filenis lie down to earth, so also shed desolately in the proximities they are some parts of the pediment.
